Drone Photography of Housing Development in Lower Stondon, Bedfordshire

In this article we continue with our 'birds-eye' look at construction sites and new housing developments which are popping up across Bedfordshire. On this occasion we focus our attention on Lower Stondon / Henlow Camp area where there are several new developments currently under construction.

The ‘Stondon Park’ site (Redwing Croft, Chaffinch Green, Woodpecker Mead etc.), developed by Bovis Homes, is now nearing completion, but there are three relatively new sites where construction is well under way. Here is a brief overview:

  1. Lavender Grange (Barratt Homes) or commonly referred to as ‘Land off Bedford Road - LS1 Site’. This site promises to deliver 144 new homes, a new open space with an equipped play area, and a new access road onto Bedford Road. Further Info here.

  2. Poppy Fields (Bloor Homes) located behind Station Road, with plans to build 149 new homes, an exclusive development of 3 & 4 bedrooms homes. Initial phase of 33 homes is well under way. Further info here.

  3. Brunswick Gate (Mulberry Homes) an impressive development of 85 three, four and five bedroom luxury homes surrounded by stunning countryside. More info here.

In this post, we present a set of photographs of the Brunswick Gate site. The images show the size and scale of the site and its location on the southern edge of Lower Stondon. In some of the photos you can see In the 9-hole course extension project currently underway at Mount Pleasant Golf Club.

We look forward to bringing you further photos of the other development sites in the near future.
